Malysia's Tallest Cake, yea rite!

saturday, was normal. passed my morning quickly with home cooked breakfast of sausages and eggs, and tuition class. parents got back from hospital with grandma, had lunch, and went out. mom wasn't feeling very well, with usual fever and cold. feeling pretty sleepy on a sunday afternoon as i'm writing this. anyway, sumthin eventually caught my parents attention to go visit the so called Tallest Cake in Paradise Sandy Hotel in Tanjung Bungah. maybe it was because dad was on his way to the bank which was quite near to the hotel. so we decided to drop by. anyway, as we entered the hotel, it came to my surprise that noone was there to see the cake. but it didn't bother me that much. but what bothered me was, that the cake was actually a hoaxed. it just wasn't true!! it's just a model of a cake built with wood to make it look very tall, it's just that the inside of the wooden model is filled with pieces of cake, arranged closely together, like tiles on a floor. it was actually quite stupid. from the picture taken in the newspapers, they had everyone fooled that it was actually made of a few tiers of cake. but it was just the wooden model that made the thing looked high. so, mum was quite pissed off to be fooled and we met a tourist who shared the same opinion. LOL. the worse thing was, the "cake" decorated with red flowers and leaves. the national flags were even hung from the cake. it looked really silly. the whole cake made the place look like the atmosphere when u arrive in a thailand airport , greeted by many thai women, putting bands of flowers over ur shoulder. silly!!
the bright side was, we managed to go down to the beach just at the back of the hotel. LOL. it was the most relaxing thing i ever had since the past few months. seeing caucassion tourist sunbathing under the hot blazing sun was relaxing enough to me. feeling the strong breeze brushing against my face was another addition and it makes u not think of the sun's temperature. and i got pictures too, coz my camera was there. LOL. spent like a few minutes on the beach, looking at people enjoying themselves in the water while i just took photos. we got back to the car and headed staright to church.
the experience of the cake was not a memorable one. was a frightening one. so, in other words, don't visit the Tallest Cake, u can view my pictures and u'll alredi be satisfied. LOL. don't waste time there. not worth it at all. just a silly joke. go there for the beach. and invite me if u go. ;-)
